Who I am

Doctor of Dental Surgery from A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Master of Business Administration, healthcare concentration. Former owner and operator of eight dental practices across Arizona, including Canyon Vista Dental and Mesa General Dentistry, with sixty-five-plus employees at peak. I sold the operating practices in 2026.

I sat across from term sheets from several of the DSOs. I signed one. I also did not sign others, for reasons I wish I had understood earlier in the process. The guides on this site are my attempt to put the hard-learned lessons in writing so the next dentist doing this has a better starting point than I did.

What this site is and is not

It is: written from practical experience, organized around the decisions a selling owner actually has to make, current to 2026 market conditions.

It is not: legal advice, tax advice, or a substitute for a dental-specific transaction attorney and CPA. If you are actively in a sale process, read this site, then hire the professionals who will close the deal.

No affiliations

I do not accept placement fees, broker commissions, or referral payments from any DSO or dental broker. When I recommend a specific type of advisor, I do not receive compensation for the recommendation.
